Michelle Choquette currently serves as the Chief Administrative Officer at Gateway First Bank, leading Human Resources, Recruiting, Learning and Development, Marketing and Communications, Legal (Administratively), Facilities, and Community and Employee Engagement. Prior to this role, Michelle was the Chief Human Resources Officer at Gateway.
Michelle’s 28+ years of experience includes not only human resources but also operations and administration. Her background includes career mapping and development, training, risk management, budget management, mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures which has helped to develop her exceptional technical and analytic skills. She is a highly effective leader, known for promoting and enhancing a diverse workforce, integrating our core values into our operations, and generating positive employee relations.
Michelle has led Human Resources teams for Vanguard Car Rental, operator of National Car Rental and Alamo Rent a Car, where she played a key role in transitioning the organization to Enterprise Rent-a-Car. She also was involved in facilitating several corporate buy backs of franchise locations at Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group. Immediately prior to joining Gateway, Michelle was with the Community Action Project (CAP), a non-profit agency focusing on breaking the cycle of poverty.
Outside of Gateway, Michelle is a graduate of Leadership Tulsa and a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM). She is active in the community, church and her son’s school while also serving on the Governor’s Council for Workforce and Economic Development. Michelle’s non-profit work includes The Tulsa Area United Way and The Parent Child Center plus she has previously served on the boards of the Girls Scouts of Eastern Oklahoma and the Credit Counseling Center.
